Cody grew up in Elmira, New York with an entrepreneur's curiosity — the kind that made him more interested in how businesses work than in working for one. He moved to Colorado Springs in 2018, and what he found here shaped everything Fiscal Fitness would become.

His formal education started at Houghton College, where he earned a Bachelor's in Integrated Marketing Communication with a minor in Business in 2017. He went on to pursue a Master's in Communications at Regent University — getting within two classes of finishing before life and business intervened in the best possible way. He'd found what he actually loved: the intersection of systems, finance, and real growth.

The first major turning point came when Cody co-founded Little Mountain Climbers, a daycare, with three partners. Building that business from scratch taught him what no classroom does: how to manage cash flow when the stakes are real, how to build team systems under pressure, and what it means to keep operations steady when everything feels chaotic. After two years, he made the harder call — leaving something he'd built — to answer another.

A close friend was growing StreamHome Construction and needed someone to help build the business behind the business. Cody stepped in, and what he found there became his obsession: the overlap between financial systems, operational structure, and the emerging power of AI in real-world small business. The pieces clicked into place.

Fiscal Fitness was born from a simple, stubborn belief: that every small business owner deserves the kind of financial clarity and operational strength that used to be reserved for companies with big budgets and big teams.

Cody lives in Colorado Springs with his wife Talisa — a serial entrepreneur herself, and the force behind more than one side hustle — who keeps him reminded daily that the best businesses are built by people who can't stop building.
